On August 15, 2025, during this angelic summer lenten season, dedicated to St. Michael, we will pull back the veil to look more deeply into the nature of reality. God and the angels are even more real than what we see with our eyes because this world is passing away while they will endure forever. Through faith, we can see more deeply who we are as spiritual-bodily beings, who are connected to a world much bigger than our immediate surroundings. Focusing on the spiritual world will help us to grow in prayer and to fight the spiritual battle against temptation and sin. Following St. Francis of Assisi, who withdrew to a mountaintop for St. Michael’s Lent, we will pull back from distractions and focus on the things that matter most.
