Catholic professor & author tapped to lead formation content of fast growing men’s movement

Fort Wayne, IN, December 16, 2022— The worldwide spiritual men’s movement, Exodus 90, has welcomed a new addition to their team. Dr. R. Jared Staudt started his new role as Director of Content on December 5. Staudt will lead content strategy and development for the Exodus 90 app moving forward. He brings with him over 15 years of experience in ministry, education, writing, and editing.

Staudt’s first experience with the popular men’s formation program was in 2016, first writing blog posts and other formation exercises for the ministry like the Exodus Biblical Series, St. Michael’s Lent, and more.

“God has called me to evangelize culture. Throughout my work in education and ministry, fathers kept coming back as key to making a lasting impact on the family and Church,” states Staudt. “Exodus has proved so impactful for men and deepening the formation it offers presents one of the best ways not only to change lives but to transform our culture for Christ.”

Prior to joining the team at Exodus 90, Staudt served as Associate Superintendent for the Archdiocese of Denver, Colorado. He continues his service as Visiting Associate Professor at the Augustine Institute in Denver. He is the author of How the Eucharist Can Save Civilization (TAN), Restoring Humanity: Essays on the Evangelization of Culture (Divine Providence Press) and The Beer Option: Brewing a Catholic Culture Yesterday & Today (Angelico Press). His editing experience includes six years as the managing editor of the journal Nova et Vetera and the books Renewing Catholic Schools: How to Regain a Catholic Vision in a Secular Age (Catholic Education Press) and The University and the Church: Don J. Briel’s Essays on Education (Cluny Media).

“It is a deep honor to have someone like Dr. Staudt take a leap of faith and join our team,” adds James Baxter, co-founder and CEO of Exodus. “In many ways, it was the influence of Dr. Don Briel (may he rest in peace) and the Center for Catholic Studies in St. Paul, Minnesota that brought us together in mind and heart. I look forward to working with Jared to impact men with the full Catholic vision that we share.”

Exodus 90 has grown rapidly in just the past seven years – with more than 60,000 men worldwide taking on the ninety-day spiritual program. It has now been translated in five different languages, with more in the works for 2023.

Staudt joins Exodus with a firm background of academia, holding a Ph.D. in systematic theology from Ave Maria University and B.A. and M.A. in Catholic Studies from the University of St. Thomas (St. Paul, MN). He has founded a Catholic school and served as a DRE in two parishes and as Director of Catholic Studies at the University of Mary.

Staudt and his wife Anne have six children. He is a Benedictine oblate.

Men everywhere are encouraged to find or start a local Exodus 90 fraternity in preparation for Easter by January 9, 2023.
